Four studies followed women for a year or more, and we give their figures as they are. Every treatment is given by Dr Marie Duggan, GMC 7488383, at Femilift Clinic London, 130 Harley Street, London, W1G 7JU, after a free consultation and examination.
What the studies measured
- The FemiLift series, 59 women, one year, no comparison group: the pad weight that measures leakage fell from 35.45 g to 12.47 g at the third treatment and was 23.06 g at twelve months. The best results came between three and six months, and the authors suggest maintenance at six to twelve months.
- A 2026 retrospective series of 176 women: 33.5% needed more laser within two years.
- The 114-woman incontinence trial, followed to four years: continence lasted 26.7 months on average after the laser against 8.21 after sham, and the authors reported that continence rates declined over time.
- The 85-woman menopause trial: no gain over sham at twelve months on its main measures.
What that means for a course
Alma recommends two to three treatments initially, and NICE describes a course of typically three sessions four to six weeks apart. In our practice the plan and any maintenance are set with you at the consultation and the review. The incontinence page sets out the trials on leakage, the tightening page the laxity evidence, and the full guide the rest. The price is in writing at a free consultation, with a price match on any comparable written quote.
