Getting here
- Tube: Regent's Park (Bakerloo line) is a three-minute walk. Great Portland Street (Circle, Hammersmith and City, Metropolitan) is seven minutes, Baker Street (Bakerloo, Circle, Hammersmith and City, Jubilee, Metropolitan) ten and Bond Street seventeen.
- Bus: routes 18, 27, 88, 205 and 453, and night buses, stop within a few minutes' walk.
- Car: the clinic is inside the Congestion Charge zone (£18 a day, 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday, noon to 6pm at weekends) and inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone. Street parking in Westminster is paid through the RingGo, PayByPhone or JustPark apps.
What happens at the consultation
Dr Marie Duggan takes your history and examines you, with a smear test first, and sets out the price in writing. In our practice she also gives you the regulators' statements and the trial results for your symptoms. They cover what the FDA said in 2018 about energy-based devices for vaginal conditions, what NICE says about vaginal laser for stress incontinence and for dryness after the menopause, and what the sham-controlled trials found on both sides. If pelvic floor training or vaginal oestrogen is the better first step, she says so, and in our practice anyone with a prolapse or a symptom that needs a diagnosis first is referred for it.
